Community Legal Clinic: deals primarily with employment rights, human rights, immigration, social assistance, refugees, tenant issues, and employment insurance.
Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO)
Publishes and distributes legal info on topics including social assistance, landlord and tenant law, refugee and immigration law, workers’ rights, family law, elder abuse, consumers’ rights, women’s issues, and laws affecting youth.

Downtown Legal Services
Legal advice and representation provided by supervised law student volunteers.Deals with many areas of law, including tenant housing, employment rights, minor criminal offences, refugee, education appeals (school children), academic appeals, Legal Aid appeals.
Flemingdon Community Legal Services
Primarily deals with tenant issues, immigration, social assistance, pensions, Employment Insurance (EI), Legal Aid appeals; may provide representation. Provides legal services for persons who are deaf.
HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario (HALCO)
Representation, summary advice, law reform and education – Referrals to other legal and non-legal services when agency cannot provide service directly. Home and institutional visits with adequate notice.
Jane Finch Community Legal Services
Deals with tenant rights, immigration, citizenship, Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Old Age Security (OAS), Employment Insurance (EI), Criminal Injuries Compensation, debtor and creditor, legal aid certificate appeals, notarizing documents, commissioning documents, statutory declarations and affidavits, and Power of Attorney (POA).
Kensington-Bellwood’s Community Legal Services
Provides advice and representation, public legal education, law reform, and community development. Areas of law dealt with are housing, Employment Insurance (EI), employment standards, general administrative, immigration and refugee, income security, social assistance, human rights, domestic violence, and Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB).
Landlord’s Self Help Centre (LSHC)
Community legal clinic that supports Ontario’s small-scale landlord community exclusively. Provides info, summary advice, referrals, educational materials, educational outreach programs, info to aid landlords in understanding their rights and responsibilities, and info on a variety of topics related to residential rental relationships.
Mississauga Community Legal Services (MCLS)
May provide representation, and legal advice Deals with advocacy, public legal education, languages, expenses, financial eligibility, Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), immigration, Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and tenant issues.
Neighbourhood Legal Services
Free legal services and assistance to low income individuals who live within our catchment area (Yonge St E to the Don Valley Pkwy, Bloor St S to the Toronto Islands) and qualify financially under Legal Aid Ontario’s guidelines.
Rexdale Community Legal Clinic
Provides summary advice, legal info, and immigration and refugee claims advice. Deals with Employment Insurance (EI), workers’ compensation, pensions, tenant issues, and social assistance.
Scarborough Community Legal Services
Assistance for low income Scarborough residents who live east of Midland Ave. Deals with tenant issues, social assistance, pensions, Employment Insurance (EI), and subsidized housing. May provide representation, summary advice in domestic violence cases.
South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario (SALCO)
Provides advice, brief services, public legal education, and/or legal representation. Deals with immigration, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Ontario Works (OW), Old Age Security (OAS), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Criminal Injuries Compensation (basic advice), Employment Insurance (EI), Human Rights (advice only), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) (advice only), employment law (advice), family law (basic advice), tenant’s rights (basic advice only, no representation), and domestic violence (advice).
South Etobicoke Community Legal Services
Deals with Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Employment Insurance (EI), immigration, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Ontario Works (OW), tenants’ rights, and workers’ rights.
Unison Health & Community Services
Deals with immigration, tenant issues, income maintenance and other poverty law issues. May provide representation (must meet financial eligibility guidelines for legal representation). Summary advice provided – twice weekly Legal Aid duty counsel clinic (no financial restrictions).
