Take back the night
Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Regent Park Green Space, 640 Dundas St E, Toronto, ON
Take Back the Night is a community-based event to unite all survivors in honouring their stories as survivors of sexual violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual violence, domestic violence, survivors of state violence such as police brutality, racism, sexist oppression and other forms of institutionalized violence and war.
This year, The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre/Multicultural Women Against Rape (TRCCMWAR) is hosting the 41st Take Back the Night on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Regent Park Green Space, 640 Dundas St E, Toronto, ON.
Event schedule
- 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Six Degrees Community Acupuncture Healing Circle & Community Wellness
- 5:00 p.m. Community Gathering
- 6:00 p.m. Rally
- 7:00 p.m. March
This year, the theme is “Someone You Know” to recognize all survivors and call in allies. Someone You Know is a survivor of gender-based violence, sexual violence, and/or state violence. You are a survivor who deserves community, care, support, and liberation from gender-based and sexual violence.
We will have community wellness opportunities to honour and support survivors. We will have activists speak at the rally to energize and mobilize the community. We will then march in solidarity with international movements to RECLAIM THE STREETS and to end gender-based and sexual violence.
Take Back The Night is a wheelchair-accessible event with ASL interpretation. All are welcome; the event is queer and trans positive.
