For women, men, and youth who have been trafficked for the purposes of forced commercial sex or labour Free, confidential over the phone counselling. Local referrals, and a safe buddy system for sex workers operating in isolation. Project Lifeline: to use the lifeline, just call and let us know when you are entering and expected to leave a date you are concerned about.

Takes information 24/7. Anonymously report any information about crime (call not recorded; Crime Stoppers does not have caller id/display). People who provide information will be given a secret code number, if the tip provided leads to an arrest, then the person who provided it may earn a cash reward of up to $2000 (can be claimed with the code number). People who provide information will never be asked to identify themselves or to testify in court.

Free and confidential. Connected to two emergency shelters for women, with or without children, where they can stay up to four months. Crisis support, counselling, safety planning, info and referral assistance (housing, income support, employment training), legal support and advocacy, employment, training and education, groups (social, recreational and educational), and practical assistance and help with obtaining food, clothing, identification, healthcare and daycare.

Women with or without children, no male children over 18 years, fleeing abusive situations. Counselling, advocacy, referrals, follow-up, court and immigration accompaniment, children’s program and counselling, legal and housing assistance, transitional housing and support program.

Interpretation MCIS
You must have the capacity to make conference (3-way) calls to use this service. Step 1: Survivor calls our 24hr Crisis Line at 416-598-8808. Step 2: Answering service calls counsellor to leave a number or patch through the caller. Step 3: Caller requests an interpreter in the language required. Step 4: Counsellor places the caller on hold and calls MCIS. Step 5: Counsellor reaches the interpreter in the requested language. Step 6: Counsellor is connected with the interpreter. Step 7: Counsellor connects the caller with the interpreter. This process takes less than two minutes.
