Violence Against Women program (VAW): support for women and children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence, individual and group counselling, crisis counselling, support for housing, legal and parenting, safety planning and lifestyle management.
Jane Finch Community Legal Services
Deals with tenant rights, immigration, citizenship, Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Old Age Security (OAS), Employment Insurance (EI), Criminal Injuries Compensation, debtor and creditor, legal aid certificate appeals, notarizing documents, commissioning documents, statutory declarations and affidavits, and Power of Attorney (POA).
Kensington-Bellwood’s Community Legal Services
Provides advice and representation, public legal education, law reform, and community development. Areas of law dealt with are housing, Employment Insurance (EI), employment standards, general administrative, immigration and refugee, income security, social assistance, human rights, domestic violence, and Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB).
LAMP Community Health Centre
Primary health care services, health education, disease prevention, family physicians, nurse practitioners, naturopathy clinic, healthy sex clinic (family planning), doctor on call 24hrs. No Ontario Health Insurance required for general services.
Landlord’s Self Help Centre (LSHC)
Community legal clinic that supports Ontario’s small-scale landlord community exclusively. Provides info, summary advice, referrals, educational materials, educational outreach programs, info to aid landlords in understanding their rights and responsibilities, and info on a variety of topics related to residential rental relationships.

Outreach service which offers support using an individualized model for women dealing with both mental health and substance abuse concerns.
Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse
Male 16 years +. Confidential counselling. First 8 sessions free, sliding scale rate +8 sessions.
METRAC (Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women & Children)
Promotes safety in communities, equity, and inclusion – Prevent violence, harassment, and discrimination; campaigns for prevention: May Be Me. Increases access to justice and builds youth leadership.
Mississauga Community Legal Services (MCLS)
May provide representation, and legal advice Deals with advocacy, public legal education, languages, expenses, financial eligibility, Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), immigration, Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and tenant issues.

Procedure takes 3 to 8 minutes, performed under I.V. sedation medication and local anesthesia.

National African Integration & Families Association of Ontario (NAIFA)
Provides supportive programs for African Canadian, landed immigrants/refugees, and ex-offenders. Focus on youth and the justice system. Drop-in centre, youth universe, education attainment, pre-apprenticeship/apprenticeship and other employment referrals, positive parenting.
National Eating Disorder Information Centre
Focuses on awareness and prevention of eating disorders, food and weight preoccupation, and disordered eating. Provides info and support to those directly or indirectly affected by disordered eating and/or related concerns.
North York Women’s Centre
No fees, but must be committed to attend and participate Reclaiming Yourself After Abuse: 10 week support group for women survivors of partner/relationship violence. Women’s empowerment groups, drop-in program, Workshops for lesbians & bisexual women.
North York Women’s Shelter
Women with or without children fleeing violence/abuse. Crisis intervention, group counselling, referrals, advocacy, community education, court accompaniment, safety planning, children’s program, transitional support and follow-up services.
Ontario Network of Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Treatment Centres
Provides list of hospital based treatment centres across Ontario for women, men, and children who have been sexually assaulted or experienced domestic violence.

Women’s Connection Program @ Roncesvalles & Queen Healthcare: anonymous HIV testing, free flu shot clinic. healthy child screenings, Saturday medical drop-in, asthma education, infant hearing program, chiropody, counselling and therapy (including anger management counselling), diabetes management program, naturopathy, psychiatry, physiotherapy.
Parkdale Community Legal Services
May assist assaulted women with court accompaniment, peace bonds, restraining order, injury compensation claims, and representation in cases where the alleged assailant counter charges. Deals with tenant issues, mental health, immigration, violence against women and children, refugee claims, social assistance, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), workers’ rights, Employment Insurance (EI), human rights and police complaints. May provide representation.
Partner Assault Response Program (PAR) Polycultural Immigrant & Community Services
Immigrants, refugee claimants and convention refugees, permanent residents and first generation Canadians. Polish and Russian speaking offenders who are 18 years + ordered by court to attend the program in response to criminal charge involving domestic violence. 12 week group; education, counselling, non-abusive ways of resolving conflict. Victims/partners of offenders/survivors provided with support: safety planning, referrals to community resources, info on offender’s progress.
