Free over the phone crisis support, supportive phone counselling (single session), in-house counselling (up to 16 weeks), referrals to community resources and therapists who charge on a sliding scale. Facilitator Training Program: women who would like to run a self-help group.

Women’s Health in Women’s Hands
Breast self-exam tutorials, STD info/treatment, pap smears, female genital mutilation and HIV/AIDS prevention advocacy support and care, mental and emotional health assessment, menopause counselling, family planning, sexuality counselling, abortion counselling/referral, pre-/post- natal care, reproductive health care. Clinical services: after hours, results, interpretation.

Youth Response Support
YWCA 1st Stop Woodlawn Shelter
Women who are 16 years +, homeless and fleeing violence. Individual and group support programs/counselling, help with finding affordable housing, job searching/returning to school, and ongoing support after leaving the shelter.
YWCA Arise
For women and their children who are fleeing violence. Support and counselling needed for women to heal and plan for their future.
YWCA Breakthrough Program
Women 18 years + who have experienced any form of abuse or violence. Group runs in three 12 week cycles throughout the year.
YWCA Teen Mother’s Program
Tuesdays 4:30 to 6:30pm at Midland & Sheppard. Thursdays 4:30 to 6:40pm at Kingston & McCowan. Free support program for mothers 14 to 22 years. Build parenting skills, access to resources that support mothers, workshops, healthy meals, snacks, encouragement, child-centered activities, mother and child interaction activities, home visits, over the phone and face to face counselling, career guidance, and referrals.
YWCA Women’s Shelter
For women and their children who are fleeing violence. One on one counselling, help to establish safety plan and to find affordable housing, appointment accompaniment.
